The site is Unused land within the Olney settlement boundary, bounded to the south and east by B565 Lavendon Road, to the west by the A509 Warrington Road, and to the north by a brook.
The site is allocated in the adopted Olney Neighbourhood Plan for a new foodstore development. Angle are proposing a mixed-use development comprising a new foodstore of up to 20,000sqft with car parking and servicing on the western half of the site. A residential development is proposed of c.30 dwellings on the eastern half of the site.
The property was acquired in July 2017 and planning submission is due to be made in Q4 2017. It is hoped a start on site can be made in mid-2018. Discussions are ongoing with retailers who have expressed an interest in the foodstore unit.
